Two Day Workshop “Elevate” Conducted by B.B.A Department on 24^th   and 26^th December 2019

A two day workshop “Elevate” was organised by the B.B.A department Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management on 24^th and 26^th December 2019. The main objective of the Workshop was to familiarize participants with the emerging ideas and trends on how to develop personality in the 21^st century contexts. The programme also aimed to teach participants to work with various professionals, people and groups to understand the meaning of life and work in the present context; to enhance their communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to function in professional and social settings effectively; to enrich the academic language skills; to understand effective planning, time management and implementation for setting goals and achieving both personal and professional goals; to learn to evaluate oneself (self-appraisal and introspection) for further growth, personally and professionally.

The first day of the workshop started with the inauguration done by the hon. Chief Guest Mr. Vivek Attray ex IAS officer and Chairperson, SILB Mrs.Saroj Khosla. Dr. Shalini sharma, Director Silb, also graced the occasion. This workshop was organised for B.B.A final year. The two day workshop was coordinated by Dr. Daman Preet Kaur, Dr.shallu sehgal and Ms. Sakshi Gautam. The first day of workshop began with the formal welcome of the chief guest followed by the lightning of diya along with saraswati vandana. Hon. Chief Guest Mr. Vivek Attray inspired the students with his motivational words and he also motivated the students to set the direction in their efforts. The vote of thanks was further extended by Dr. Shalini Sharma, Director, Silb. The Post Lunch session of the workshop (day 1) was based on event management session in which the participants organised and celebrated the Christmas Eve in the institute with great joy and enthusiasm.

On 26^th December, the second day of the workshop pre-lunch strated with Ice breaking activity by Dr. Daman Preet Kaur, Dr.Shallu Sehgal and Ms.Sakshi Gauta followed by Second session which was focussed on the importance of speaking skills and many tips were given to the students by Dr. Daman Preet Kaur, Dr.shallu sehgal and Ms. Sakshi Gautam in which practical knowledge was  imparted to the students with the means of audio-visual aids. The post lunch started with a conversant session of Dr.Daman preet Kaur showing the efficacy of nonverbal communication. Ms.Sakshi Gautam gave students some tips on how to be a smart mouth with a view to establish oneself in the cooperate world. Ms.Shivani Dutt edified the students with forming impressive Curriculum Viate.The last session was conducted by Dr. Payal Verma and Mr. Pradeep Verma  who enhanced the aptitude skills of the students by giving them some mind boggling activities. The workshop concluded with the valedictory speech of the H.O.D B.B.A. department, Dr. daman Preet Kaur.She focused on the importance of workshop like personality development and Communication skills.
